Bachelor's Degree in Electronics / Electrical / Industrial / Mechanical Engineering.
MBA in Operations or Production Management (preferred).
Experience:
12-20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing (preferably EMS / PCB Assembly / Consumer Electronics / Automotive Electronics).
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing production or plant operations.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of SMT, THT, Testing, and Assembly processes.
Familiarity with ERP systems, lean manufacturing tools, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong understanding of process automation, equipment validation, and production metrics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Plan, organize, and control all production activities to achieve output, quality, and cost targets.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize resource utilization (manpower, materials, machinery).
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency.
Coordinate with planning, procurement, and maintenance departments for seamless production flow.
2. Quality & Process Control
Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, IPC, RoHS, etc.) and compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Work closely with QA/QC teams to monitor product quality and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production-related issues.
3. People Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams, including supervisors, engineers, and operators.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure training and skill development of staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
4. Equipment & Maintenance
Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime of machines (SMT lines, assembly, testing, etc.).
Approve capital investments and technological upgrades for production enhancement.
5. Cost & Efficiency Management
Monitor production costs, yields, and scrap to achieve budgeted cost levels.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Ensure effective inventory management and material utilization.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Promote a safe workplace culture and ensure adherence to EHS protocols.
