Role & responsibilities

1.

Production Planning and Control

Develop and implement production schedules based on sales forecasts and inventory levels. Allocate resources (labour, equipment, materials) to meet production targets. Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.
2.

Team Management

Supervise and lead production staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct employee evaluations. Identify training needs and organize development programs.
3.

Quality Assurance

Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with company and regulatory quality standards. Monitor product quality and perform root-cause analysis for production problems.
4.

Process Improvement

Analyse production data and workflows to identify areas for efficiency gains. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Reduce waste, optimize costs, and increase productivity.
5.

Inventory and Materials Management

Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials. Minimize excess inventory while preventing production delays. Monitor stock levels of materials and finished goods.
6.

Health and Safety Compliance

Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Investigate incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
7.

Reporting and Communication

Maintain accurate records of production volumes, efficiency, and downtime. Generate regular reports for senior management. Communicate effectively with departments like procurement, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 15 years experience in the Production department in Battery manufacturing Industry. Skill Required - Control Plan, SOP, WI, CAPA, KAIZEN, Poka Yoke, Manpower handling, Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and technologies Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and solve problems effectively Understanding of safety regulations and quality management systems
