Position Headline: Implements defined overall production standards, and oversees and manages all production operations, at SI EP IAA Aurangabad Mfg. plant focused on final electrical distribution products like MCB, RCCB, Fuses and allied accessories in order to fulfill business objectives.

Areas of Responsibility:

Creation of monthly production plans, allocate resources and execute the same to meet delivery commitments ensuring quality and EHS norms to meet business targets, KPIs.

  • Contribute to the development of optimal production schedules, considering resource availability and customer demands.
  • Develop and implement plans and strategies in production to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and directives to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources (human, material, and machinery) to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in key
performance indicators (KPIs) such as First Pass Yield (FPY), on-time delivery, throughput time, productivity, and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Promote and enforce orderliness in operations through the implementation of 5S principles.
  • Engage with, develop and motivate assigned employees, including unionized blue-collar workers, through coaching, training, and timely performance
evaluations.
  • Ensure optimum usage of assigned service providers and vendors, monitoring their performance and adherence to quality and timeline requirements.
  • Collaborate with support functions such as Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Process Planning, Maintenance, Equipment Development,
Logistics, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Finance to contribute to various projects and activities driven by the respective functions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to low voltage electrical switchgear manufacturing.

Skills and Experience: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team., Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing production challenges., Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines., In-depth knowledge of Production processes like high speed / volume moulding, progressive stamping/forming operation, welding, marking, automated assembly and testing., Quality control principles, and Lean manufacturing methodologies., General knowledge of Final Distribution products & its application,
  • 7- 10 years experience in a production management role within the electrical manufacturing industry, specifically with low voltage electrical switchgear. Experience must include product manufacturing and Testing including parts/components manufacturing
Education & Training: Mandatory: University degree in Mechanical/production engineering, other relevant discipline.

Preferred : Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Certification in Materials management.
