Job Description

Production Operations

Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly OSD production schedules. Ensure optimal utilization of men, machines, and materials. Supervise manufacturing activities including: Dispensing Granulation (Wet/Dry) Blending Compression Coating Encapsulation Ensure adherence to approved BMRs, SOPs, and process parameters.
Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with

cGMP, GDP, EHS

, and regulatory guidelines (USFDA, EU-GMP, WHO, etc.). Review and approve manufacturing documents, deviations, change controls, and CAPAs. Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and inspections. Ensure data integrity and good documentation practices (GDP).
Team Management

Lead, train, and develop production supervisors, officers, and operators. Monitor manpower planning, shift allocation, and performance. Conduct training on SOPs, safety, and cGMP requirements.
Equipment & Maintenance

Ensure proper operation and cleaning of OSD equipment: RMG, FBD, Blender, Compression, Coating machines, Capsule fillers Coordinate with Engineering for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Ensure equipment qualification and calibration compliance.
Safety & EHS

Ensure safe working practices and compliance with EHS policies. Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement

Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization initiatives. Implement lean manufacturing and efficiency improvement projects.

QualificationsEducation

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc

(Pharmaceutical Sciences or relevant discipline)
Experience

8-15 years

of experience in OSD manufacturing Minimum

3-5 years

in a managerial or leadership role
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of OSD processes and equipment In-depth understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements Leadership and team management skills Problem-solving and decision-making ability Good communication and documentation skills Knowledge of ERP/MES systems is an advantage
