will oversee daily plant operations, ensure efficient production processes, maintain safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of recycling or manufacturing processes, and proven experience in managing high-volume production environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Operations
Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet output targets.
Optimize production workflows, machine utilization, and manpower allocation.
Monitor KPIs such as productivity, yield, machine uptime, scrap rate, and cost per unit.
2. Process & Quality Management
Ensure all production activities meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Implement process controls and conduct root-cause analysis for quality deviations.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to improve product performance.
3. Team Leadership
Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors, operators, and staff.
Conduct performance assessments, skills development, and shift planning.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Maintenance & Equipment Management
Work closely with maintenance teams to plan preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure machines and equipment are maintained to achieve optimum runtime.
Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to improve production capacity.
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce safe work practices.
Support sustainability initiatives, waste reduction, and pollution control efforts.
6. Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and energy usage.
Evaluate and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Prepare regular reports on production performance, challenges, and action plans.
REQUIRED:
Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, lean manufacturing, and quality systems.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production planning tools.
