The Production Incharge is responsible for managing day-to-day production activities to achieve planned output, maintain product quality, ensure resource optimization, and support continuous improvement in the production process.
Plan, organize, and monitor daily production schedules.
Allocate manpower, materials, and machines based on production targets.
Ensure smooth workflow across all stages of production.
Process Monitoring & Control
Supervise operations on the shop floor and ensure adherence to SOPs.
Check machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns.
Minimize downtime and ensure maximum utilization of resources.
Quality Assurance
Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspections and approvals.
Identify defects, take corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
Material & Inventory Management
Verify material availability before starting production.
Coordinate with the store for timely material issuance.
Reduce wastage and monitor consumption of raw materials.
Team Management
Lead production operators and helpers.
Assign tasks, provide guidance, and resolve shop-floor issues.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily production reports (DPR).
Maintain production records, downtime logs, rejection reports, etc.
Monitor KPIs such as output, scrap %, efficiency, and machine utilization.
Health, Safety, & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety checks and enforce PPE usage.
Continuous Improvement
Suggest improvements for production efficiency and workflow.
Participate in process audits and improvement projects (Kaizen/5S).
3. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
ITI with relevant experience also preferred.
Experience
1 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations.
Experience in handling manpower and shop-floor supervision.
Skills
Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
Good knowledge of production processes and machinery.
Ability to manage pressure and meet daily targets.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP/Tally preferred).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Factory / shop-floor based role.
Requires coordination with production, quality, maintenance, and stores.
