Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

Plan daily, weekly, and monthly feed production schedules. Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials (maize, soybean meal, additives, etc.). Monitor machine operations (grinders, mixers, pelletizers, bagging units).

Quality Control

Implement strict quality checks at every stage of feed production. Ensure feed formulations meet nutritional standards for poultry. Coordinate with the QA/QC team for lab testing and compliance.

Manpower & Team Management

Supervise production staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance. Train workers on SOPs, hygiene, and safety practices. Resolve operational issues and maintain discipline on the shop floor.

Resource & Inventory Management

Track raw material consumption and minimize wastage. Maintain records of production output, downtime, and maintenance. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for timely supply.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, and other regulatory standards. Maintain workplace safety protocols and preventive maintenance schedules. Prepare production reports for management review.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

feed formulation and manufacturing processes

. Ability to manage

large-scale production machinery

. Proficiency in

MIS reporting, Excel, and ERP systems

. Leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving and quick decision-making ability.

Educational & Experience Requirements

Education:

Diploma/Degree in Animal Nutrition, Feed Technology, or any Degree. Mechanical/Production Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

5-10 years in feed manufacturing, preferably poultry feed.

Certifications:

ISO, HACCP, or FSSAI compliance knowledge is a plus.
