Job Purpose:
The Production Incharge Plant - S&P is responsible for overseeing the entire production process within the plant, ensuring efficient operations and optimal use of resources to meet production targets. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing staff, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Management:

  • Optimize plant operations for maximum efficiency and productivity, ensuring optimal use of resources, including labour and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Quality Control, to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of production issues.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills to manage production schedules and team assignments efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain organized records of production data, ensuring easy access and retrieval for audits and reviews.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure that production plans align with sales forecasts, inventory requirements, and maintenance schedules.
Daily Production Oversight:
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently according to the production schedule.
  • Monitor production lines and staff performance, providing immediate guidance and support to resolve any operational issues.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
  • Continuously analyse production processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
  • Implement process enhancements and monitor their effectiveness.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant.
  • Conduct safety training and drills to ensure that all employees are aware of and comply with safety protocols.
  • Oversee the proper handling and storage of materials to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Transparent Operations:
  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with the QC department and other relevant departments.
  • Foster a culture of honesty and openness, encouraging team members to share feedback and suggestions for production improvement.
Organizational Skills:
  • Manage production schedules and team assignments with strong organizational skills.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation within the production department.
Policy Adherence and Development:
  • Ensure that production operations adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and support to production staff to ensure understanding and compliance with all policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience (Range of years)
  • 3+ years of experience in plant production or manufacturing, with a focus on quality control and process optimization.
Industry Knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control standards, and efficiency optimization techniques. Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing plants.
