Job Summary:



Shree Harsh Dairy Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Plant Manager to oversee the overall operations, production, and quality assurance of our dairy factory in Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for plant efficiency, supply chain management, compliance with regulatory standards, and workforce management to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations while maintaining product consistency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Plant Operations & Production Management



Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production of dairy products (ghee, milk, butter, etc.). Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resources. Monitor and enhance production efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize costs. Ensure compliance with industry regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO, NABL 17025) and government standards. Conduct internal audits, product testing, and inspections to maintain food safety and quality standards.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance



Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality compliance standards. Oversee microbiological testing, verification reports, and release of results. Perform quality checks on raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Maintain trust-based quality with verified lab reports, traceability checks, and CAPA implementation.

3. Inventory & Supply Chain Management



Manage raw material procurement, storage, and inventory levels efficiently. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams to maintain a steady supply chain. Ensure proper storage conditions for perishable dairy products to maintain shelf life and quality.

4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement



Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement. Develop energy-efficient and sustainable production practices. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost-effective production and waste reduction.

5. Team Leadership & Workforce Management



Supervise and lead plant supervisors, production staff, and quality control teams. Conduct training programs on HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and critical control points (CCPs). Foster a culture of teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.

6. Project Reporting & Data-Driven Decision-Making



Maintain detailed production reports, tracking efficiency, downtime, and process improvements. Analyse production trends and provide insights to management for strategic planning. Document key operational observations and corrective measures for ongoing improvements.

7. Cross-Department Collaboration



Work closely with R&D for product innovation and process enhancements. Coordinate with HR, safety, and quality teams to support operational efficiency and workforce engagement. Oversee new product trials, ensuring smooth integration into the production line.

8. Cost & Resource Management



Monitor operational expenses while optimizing resource utilization. Implement cost-control measures to enhance profitability without compromising quality. Develop sustainability strategies to reduce energy consumption and material wastage.

Qualifications & Skills:



Education: Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 7-8 years in a dairy processing plant, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of production planning, supply chain, inventory control, and workforce management. Hands-on experience with dairy plant machinery, automation, and maintenance. Expertise in food safety management, quality control standards, and compliance audits. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:



Experience handling large-scale dairy production units. Knowledge of modern dairy processing techniques and automation. Proficiency in SAP, data analysis, and quality management tools. Ability to analyse production trends and improve quality benchmarks.
