Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on

Production In-Charge

to manage daily operations in the foundry. The person will be responsible for ensuring smooth, timely, and cost-effective production of high-quality castings, while maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage daily production activities like

melting, moulding, core making, and fettling

. Ensure proper use of

manpower, machines, and materials

to meet production targets. Monitor quality standards and resolve any process issues. Coordinate with

maintenance, quality, and stores

to avoid delays. Maintain production reports and shift-wise data. Implement

5S, Kaizen

, and other lean practices. Ensure safety measures and legal compliance in the foundry. Solve production issues and suggest process improvements. Train and guide operators to improve productivity and skills.

Required Skills:

Good knowledge of

foundry processes

(Sand casting, CI, SG Iron, Steel, etc.). Experience with

melting units

like cupola, induction, or arc furnaces. Understanding of

metallurgy

and casting defects. Strong in

shift planning, team handling

, and reporting. Familiar with

ERP systems

and production documentation. Good communication and leadership skills.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in

Mechanical

,

Metallurgy

, or

Production Engineering

.

Preferred Background:

Experience in

Grey Iron, SG Iron, or Steel foundries

. * Worked in

automotive

or

heavy engineering

manufacturing environments.
