Job Title: Production Head - Fabrication & Mechanical/Electrical Operations

Location: Chikhali Pune

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Head to lead our fabrication and assembly

operations with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and fabrication engineering. The

ideal candidate will oversee overall plant activities, ensure timely production, maintain quality

standards, and lead cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, safety, and

logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Production Management

? Lead daily operations across fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical integration

departments.

? Ensure timely and cost-effective production with optimal resource utilization.

? Oversee machine shop, welding, sheet metal, painting, assembly, and testing functions.

? Implement production planning, process improvement, and lean manufacturing practices.

2. Engineering & Technical Oversight

? Review and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings for manufacturing.

? Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.

? Lead troubleshooting of mechanical or electrical issues during production.

3. Maintenance & Utility Management

? Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment and utilities.

? Ensure uptime and efficiency of all mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

? Maintain inventory of critical spares, tools, and consumables.

4. Quality & Compliance

? Ensure adherence to quality standards, inspection processes, and customer requirements.

? Drive continuous improvement in process quality and reduce rework/wastage.

? Ensure compliance with statutory, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), and ISO norms.

5. Team Management & Development

? Lead and develop a team of production engineers, supervisors, technicians, and workers.

? Conduct skill-gap analysis and arrange relevant training programs.

? Monitor team performance, discipline, and productivity.

6. Coordination & Reporting

? Collaborate with SCM, Projects, Design, and Sales departments for smooth operations.

? Prepare and submit regular reports on production, efficiency, downtime, and quality.

? Conduct daily/weekly reviews with team and management.

Required Qualifications:

? Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Industrial

Engineering

? Experience: 12-20 years of experience in Production & plant operations, preferably in

fabrication, automation, or capital machinery industries.

? Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication, welding, machine shop operations, and

electrical assembly.
