This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Production located in Bengaluru. The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process, including planning, monitoring, and ensuring efficient operations. The role involves coordinating with various departments, optimizing production schedules, managing budgets, and leading the production team to meet quality and production targets effectively.
Key Roles & Responsibilities.
o Prepare
production plans style-wise, job worker-wise, and delivery-wise
o Allocate work to job workers based on
capacity, skill, and timelines
o Track
daily / weekly production status
and ensure on-time completion
o Monitor
cutting, stitching, finishing, washing , and packing
schedules
o Identify, onboard, and manage
multiple job workers
o Issue materials (fabric, trims, accessories) to job workers with proper documentation
o Follow up regularly with job workers to avoid delays
o Handle
rate negotiations, efficiency issues, and capacity planning
o Ensure
quality standards are followed at all stages of job work
o Conduct
in-process and final quality checks
o Reduce rejections, alterations, and rework
o Coordinate corrective actions with job workers for quality issues
o Coordinate with
stores and procurement teams
for timely material availability
o Ensure proper fabric issue, consumption tracking, and wastage control
o Monitor
production costs, job work charges, and productivity
o Control excess wastage, rework costs, and delays
o Support management in
style costing and production feasibility
o Ensure finished goods are
received, checked, and handed over to dispatch on time
o Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for timely dispatch
o Ensure orders are completed
as per buyer PO, size ratio, and color ratio
o Prepare and submit Daily production reports ,Job worker status reports , Delay and bottleneck reports , Quality and rejection summaries
o Maintain accurate
production MIS for management review
o Ensure job workers follow
company standards and timelines
o Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews
o Enforce discipline, accountability, and transparency in production flow
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
o Strong knowledge of garment production through job work
o Excellent coordination, follow-up, and negotiation skills Ability to handle multiple styles and job workers simultaneously
o Strong understanding of fabric, trims, stitching processes, and finishing Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure
o Good communication with job workers, vendors, and internal teams
o Ability to manage all the department heads working in operations
o Strong knowledge on making organizational reports
Qualifications
o Diploma in Textile Technology / Garment Technology / Fashion Technology / Industrial Engineering

o Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in apparel production.
o Mandatory exposure to outsourced production and job work operations.
o Required 3to 4 years of experience as Factory Head / Senior Production Role preferred.
o Must have experience in buying house or liaison office.
