Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

Plan, schedule, and manage daily production operations to achieve output targets. Oversee end-to-end FRK production -- from raw material feeding to finished product packaging. Ensure production as per defined quality standards, formulations, and fortification norms (FSSAI compliance).

Process Optimization

Continuously monitor machine efficiency and process flow. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for higher yield and lower wastage. Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, and shift staff. Conduct regular training sessions to improve team performance and safety practices. Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, and internal quality standards. Coordinate with the QC lab for batch testing and documentation. Maintain all production records, batch reports, and traceability logs.

Plant Administration

Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation. Maintain stock of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts in coordination with the stores team. Ensure plant hygiene, 5S implementation, and compliance with safety norms.

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with management, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams for smooth operations. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management. Contribute to strategic decisions for capacity expansion and process automation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum

7-10 years

in food processing / extrusion / rice fortification / ready-to-eat products manufacturing.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of extrusion technology, mixing systems, dryers, and packaging machines. Knowledge of FRK production line, iron and vitamin fortification process. Proficiency in production planning, manpower handling, and process optimization.

Soft Skills:

Leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and team coordination.
