Job Title: Gear Manufacturing Production HeadLocation: [City, State]Department: ManufacturingReports to: Plant Manager / Operations DirectorPosition Type: Full-timeJob Summary:The Gear Manufacturing Production Head is responsible for overseeing the production process of gear manufacturing, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. This role involves managing production teams, coordinating with other departments, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management: Oversee the entire gear manufacturing process, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors, machinists, and operators, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
• Quality Control: Ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications through rigorous quality control processes.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Resource Management: Manage resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to optimize production capabilities.
• Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operational.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Budget Management: Monitor production budgets and control costs while maximizing productivity.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as output, quality, and efficiency.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in gear manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of gear manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and ERP systems.
