Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)KRADetails1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and execute daily decoiling and stirrups production schedules based on sales/dispatch requirement
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower and machinery
- Coordinate with store, sales, and logistics teams for smooth operations

2. Process Supervision & Control

- Monitor decoiling and stirrup making machines for efficient and uninterrupted operation
- Ensure machine settings and parameters are as per required size and specifications
- Prevent material wastage through proper supervision

3. Quality Control

- Ensure adherence to product quality standards (length, bend, hook angles, etc.)
- Conduct regular checks and maintain quality records
- Coordinate with quality department for inspections and audits

4. Manpower Management

- Allocate daily duties to machine operators and helpers
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline of shop floor staff
- Ensure adherence to safety norms and usage of PPE by workers

5. Maintenance Coordination

- Report any machine breakdowns or abnormalities to maintenance team
- Follow up for timely preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Maintain daily machine logbook and downtime records

6. Raw Material and Finished Goods Handling

- Ensure proper handling and stacking of raw materials (TMT coils/bars) and finished stirrups
- Maintain inward and consumption records of raw materials
- Coordinate with store for stock availability and documentation

7. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain daily production report (DPR), rejection report, machine utilization report
- Report shift-wise and daily production status to higher management
- Ensure compliance with ISO or any other internal audit requirements

8. Cost and Waste Reduction

- Identify areas for cost reduction and improved productivity
- Minimize scrap generation and ensure its proper accounting
- Implement 5S and lean manufacturing principles where possible

9. Compliance & Safety

- Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the production area
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure fire safety, machine safety practices
- Support in statutory compliance related to shop floor operations Designation
