The selected expert will be responsible for providing strategic technical inputs, driving lean manufacturing practices, and enabling process improvements across industrial units.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in
production planning

process improvement

shop-floor management

manufacturing optimization
Guide implementation of
Lean Manufacturing
,
Six Sigma
,
TPM
, and other production excellence models
Assist in project execution involving MSMEs, industrial clusters, and technical institutions
Coordinate with stakeholders including government agencies, industries, and consultants for smooth execution
Conduct training/workshops for industry professionals and field teams on production systems and best practices
Contribute to the development of SOPs, process documents, MIS reports, and impact assessments
Ensure compliance with relevant industrial, environmental, and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
in
Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering
, or a related field with
minimum 10 years
of relevant experience
OR
Master's degree
in the above disciplines with
minimum 8 years
of relevant experience
Preferred Certifications (Desirable):

Lean Manufacturing
Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) or equivalent
Additional Preferred Experience:
Minimum
2 years of experience
in executing
long-term government sector projects
Minimum
5 years of hands-on industrial development experience
(factory operations, cluster development, process reengineering, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Strong knowledge of production planning and control (PPC), quality assurance, and efficiency improvement
Familiarity with industrial automation, Kaizen, 5S, and capacity utilization metrics
Ability to engage with manufacturing SMEs, FPOs, and government stakeholders
Proficiency in technical documentation, reporting, and data-driven decision making
Strong communication, leadership, and training skills
