Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on

Production Engineer

to join our team. You will serve as the vital link between design and reality, converting concepts into precise

CAD drawings

and technical specifications. Beyond drafting, you will work side-by-side with our Production Managers to optimize workflows, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and ensure our craftsmanship remains top-tier from the first cut to the final assembly.

Key Responsibilities

CAD Drafting & Engineering:

Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino) for bespoke and mass-produced furniture pieces. Develop comprehensive

Bills of Materials (BOM)

and hardware specifications. Generate cutting lists and CNC programs to minimize material waste.

Production Support:

Collaborate with Production Managers to translate complex designs into actionable shop floor instructions. Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery for new product lines. Troubleshoot design flaws or structural issues identified during the prototyping phase.

Process Optimization:

Identify bottlenecks in the production line and propose "Lean" solutions to improve efficiency. Monitor quality control standards, ensuring the final product matches the approved technical drawings. Research and implement new manufacturing techniques or materials to keep us ahead of the curve.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

Proficiency in

AutoCAD

or

SolidWorks

(3D modeling experience is a must).

Industry Knowledge

Solid understanding of

woodworking joints

, cabinetry construction, and finishing processes.

Tech Savvy

Familiarity with

CNC programming

(Artcam, Mastercam, or similar) is highly preferred.

Soft Skills

Ability to explain complex technical drawings to craftsmen who may not be tech-oriented.

Education

Degree in Industrial/Production Engineering or 3+ years of equivalent shop-floor experience.
