Job Purpose

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring day-to-day production activities to ensure timely output, optimal resource utilization, quality compliance, cost control, and continuous process improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution

Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per sales orders and delivery commitments. Ensure uninterrupted production flow by coordinating with stores, logistics, and maintenance teams. Monitor production targets and take corrective actions to achieve planned output.
Process & Shopfloor Management

Supervise shopfloor operations and manpower allocation. Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and safety standards. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for efficiency and productivity.
Quality Control

Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Coordinate with QC team for in-process and final inspections. Analyze rejection, rework, and wastage; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Material & Inventory Control

Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage. Coordinate with stores for material availability, GRN, and inventory accuracy. Ensure FIFO and proper material handling practices.
Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Minimize downtime through timely machine servicing and root cause analysis.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain production reports, daily output, efficiency, and downtime reports. Update ERP/MIS systems related to production, consumption, and work orders. Support audits, compliance, and internal reviews.
Team Management & Training

Guide, mentor, and train operators and supervisors on processes and safety. Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline on the shopfloor. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and company policies. Conduct safety talks and ensure proper use of PPE.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes Hands-on experience in shopfloor operations Understanding of quality tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, SOPs) ERP/MRP system knowledge (preferred) Good leadership and coordination skills Problem-solving and analytical ability Communication and reporting skills
Educational Qualification

B.E / B.Tech / Diploma - Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering


(Diploma with strong experience may also be considered)

Preferred Industry Experience

Building materials Doors, tiles, wood, modular furniture Manufacturing / Fabrication / Assembly units

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
