- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality control, and maintenance to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Evaluate equipment and machinery performance, and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Engineer in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
