Role summary

The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing and monitoring shop floor activities for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other fabricated equipment, ensuring adherence to drawings, codes, quality standards and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

Plan and execute daily/weekly production schedules for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and fabricated equipment.? Supervise fabrication activities such as plate cutting, forming, fit?up, welding, NDT and hydro/pneumatic testing.? Review fabrication drawings, WPS/PQR and ensure correct sequence of operations on the shop floor.? Coordinate with design, planning, quality, purchase and stores for smooth execution of jobs and timely material availability.? Monitor productivity, reduce rework and downtime, and support implementation of lean/continuous improvement initiatives.? Ensure strict compliance with safety practices, statutory requirements and applicable fabrication codes/standards (e.g., ASME, TEMA as applicable).? Prepare and maintain production reports, progress updates and related documentation.

Required qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical ? 4-6 years of experience in heavy fabrication, specifically in pressure vessels, heat exchangers and similar fabricated equipment.? Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and shop practices for pressure parts.? Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps and isometrics.? Working familiarity with relevant codes/standards (e.g., ASME Section VIII, TEMA) will be an added advantage.?

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
