Job Summary:

The Project Engineer / Produc?on Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day

opera?ons on the shop floor in the sheet metal fabrica?on unit. The role includes managing

manpower, ensuring produc?on targets, handling documenta?on, coordina?ng with customers on

project-specific needs, and maintaining quality and produc?vity standards.

Key Responsibili?es:

1. Manpower Handling

o Allocate daily work to operators based on produc?on plans.

o Monitor worker performance and provide guidance or training where needed.

o Ensure discipline, safety, and morale on the shop floor.

2. Customer Coordina?on (Project-wise)

o Coordinate with customers and internal departments to understand project-specific

requirements.

o Ensure ?mely updates and communica?on on produc?on status.

o A?end project review mee?ngs and address customer concerns.

3. Documenta?on

o Maintain produc?on logs, inspec?on reports, and daily shi? reports.

o Prepare and update standard opera?ng procedures (SOPs) and work instruc?ons.

o Ensure compliance with ISO / quality system documenta?on.

4. Report Genera?on

o Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly produc?on reports.

o Generate down?me analysis, produc?on efficiency, and quality reports.

o Track and report rework, rejec?on, and scrap data.

5. Employees' Piece Rate Monitoring

o Monitor and record employee output as per piece rate norms.

o Verify and report produc?on against targets.

o Assist in wage calcula?on based on piece-rate produc?vity.

6. OEE (Overall Equipment Effec?veness) Calcula?on

o Collect data on availability, performance, and quality.

o Analyse machine down?me, speed loss, and defect rates.

o Present OEE reports to management for improvement ini?a?ves.

7. Work Report as per Cycle Time

o Track produc?on against standard cycle ?mes.

o Iden?fy bo?lenecks or delays in the produc?on process.

o Ensure adherence to ?me standards to meet delivery ?melines.

8. Produc?on & Quality Supervision

o Ensure adherence to quality standards during fabrica?on opera?ons like shearing,

bending, punching, welding, etc.

o Collaborate with QC and maintenance teams for smooth opera?ons.

9. 5S and Safety Implementa?on

o Maintain clean and organized work areas as per 5S prac?ces.

o Ensure all safety measures and PPE usage by staff.

Skills & Qualifica?ons Required:

? Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Produc?on Engineering.

? 2-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrica?on industry.

? Knowledge of fabrica?on processes (laser cu?ng, punching, bending, welding).

? Hands-on experience with manpower handling and shi? supervision.

? Familiarity with produc?on planning tools and ERP systems.

? Good MS Excel skills for repor?ng and data analysis.

? Basic understanding of OEE, 5S, and lean manufacturing concepts.

? Strong communica?on and coordina?on skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
