Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
Plan and execute daily production activities as per approved schedules.
Monitor productivity, output, quality, and delivery parameters.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and resources.
Supervise welding operations (MIG / TIG / ARC as applicable).
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Manpower Handling
Manage shop floor operators, welders, and technicians.
Allocate jobs and monitor individual and team performance.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Maintain discipline, attendance, and workforce efficiency on the shop floor.
Quality & Process Control
Ensure adherence to SOPs, process parameters, and quality standards.
Coordinate with the Quality team for inspections, NCRs, and rework control.
Monitor welding quality and dimensional accuracy.
Support implementation of
5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety guidelines and proper PPE usage.
Conduct safety audits and hazard identification.
Ensure compliance with internal safety policies and statutory norms.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Stores teams.
Support new product trials, process validation, and improvements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports.

Mandatory Requirements
B.E. Mechanical Engineering
4-6 years of relevant production experience
Experience in Iron & Steel or Automotive industry
Strong team handling experience
Hands-on knowledge of welding processes
NDT certification - Preferred
