Production Engineer - Industrial Plastic Products (Pipes, Sheets, Rods, Fittings)

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and optimize daily production processes for plastic products, including injection molding, extrusion, and compounding.? Oversee machine setups, process parameters, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and defects.? Implement and monitor quality control procedures, analyze defects, and drive corrective actions to meet industry standards.? Collaborate with cross-functional departments (quality, maintenance, R&D, supply chain) on new products, process improvements, and manufacturing efficiency.? Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), production reports, and documentation for audits and compliance.? Train and mentor shop-floor operators on equipment safety, process optimization, and best practices.? Manage production inventory, coordinate procurement of raw materials, and ensure traceability.? Conduct trials of new product formulations, optimize production parameters, and lead cost-saving initiatives.? Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.?
Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.? 2-5 years' experience in industrial plastic manufacturing and fabrication (injection molding, extrusion, compounding, or related processes).? Strong knowledge of plastics materials, production technologies, and quality management systems.? Hands-on experience troubleshooting machines and optimizing plastic processing workflows.? Proficient in understanding AutoCAD drawings and Microsoft Office for documentation and process analysis.? Certifications in quality control or ISO systems are desirable.?
