Job Description

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing. The role focuses on improving productivity, quality, and process reliability while meeting production targets and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and optimize daily production operations to meet output and quality goals Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and safety Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to minimize downtime Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations Monitor production KPIs and prepare reports for management Support new product introductions and process changes Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions Train production staff on processes, equipment, and best practices Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning Knowledge of quality systems and process improvement methodologies Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation
Preferred Skills

Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tools Familiarity with ERP or production planning systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
Working Conditions

Shop floor and office-based work May require shift work or extended hours during peak production Adherence to safety and PPE requirements
