Job Summary

The Production Engineer / Supervisor is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising daily production activities related to

electrical control panels, power panels, and cable harness assemblies

. The role ensures production targets are met with high quality, safety compliance, and optimal resource utilization.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations

Plan, organize, and supervise production activities for

electrical panels and cable harnessing

. Ensure production schedules are met as per customer delivery commitments. Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and optimize workflow on the shop floor. Coordinate with design, stores, and QA teams for smooth production execution.
Quality & Compliance

Ensure panels and harnesses are manufactured as per

approved drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagrams

. Adhere to relevant standards (IEC, IS, UL, customer specifications). Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure rectification of non-conformities. Support internal and external audits.
Team Supervision

Supervise and guide technicians, electricians, and assembly operators. Allocate manpower efficiently and train team members on best practices. Maintain discipline, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.
Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce rework, and minimize material wastage. Implement

5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing

practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Housekeeping

Ensure compliance with

electrical safety norms and EHS guidelines

. Maintain clean and organized workstations. Promote safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily production reports, rejection reports, and manpower utilization records. Coordinate with planning and procurement for material availability. Update production status to management regularly.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

Diploma / BE / BTech in

Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, or related field

.
Experience

3-8 years

of experience in

electrical panel manufacturing and/or cable harnessing

. Hands-on experience with LT/HT panels, PCC, MCC, PLC panels, or control panels is preferred.
Technical Skills

Reading and interpreting

electrical drawings and wiring schematics

. Knowledge of panel components: MCCB, ACB, MCB, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs. Cable cutting, crimping, routing, and harness assembly techniques. Familiarity with testing procedures (continuity, insulation resistance, functional testing).
Behavioral Skills

Strong leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
