Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Production Engineer to oversee the production of metal doors and coordinate site-related activities. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage manufacturing processes on the shop floor, visit client sites to take accurate measurements, and guide the installation team to ensure seamless delivery and setup of products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Manufacturing (Factory):

Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing of metal doors. Coordinate with the design and fabrication teams to ensure specifications and quality standards are met. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and maintained for uninterrupted workflow. Implement and maintain quality control processes during fabrication and finishing. Track progress and provide regular updates to management on production status. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
2. Site Visits & Measurement:

Visit project sites for pre-installation assessment and take precise door measurements. Evaluate site conditions to anticipate any challenges related to fitting or space constraints. Liaise with clients or site supervisors to understand special requirements, if any. Document measurements and communicate accurately to the design/production team.
3. Installation Supervision:

Coordinate logistics for timely dispatch and delivery of finished products to site. Guide and supervise installation teams on-site to ensure correct fitting and finishing of metal doors. Resolve any technical or fitting issues during installation. Conduct post-installation checks and quality assurance.
4. Cross-Department Coordination:

Work closely with design, sales, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of production with client expectations. Provide technical input and recommendations during client discussions, if required. Maintain accurate documentation of measurements, production details, and site reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in door/window or architectural metal products. Proficient in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools (tape, laser, etc.). Strong project management and coordination skills. Good communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Basic computer knowledge (Excel, AutoCAD exposure is a plus).

Preferred Qualities:

Experience in stainless steel or mild steel door manufacturing. Familiarity with site installation processes. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to travel to client/project sites as required.
