The Junior Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting in day-to-day production activities on the shop floor. The role ensures smooth operations, proper manpower utilization, adherence to production plans, quality standards, safety norms, and timely output in the textile manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities Production & Operations
Assist in executing daily production plans as per targets.
Monitor machine operations and ensure optimal utilization.
Coordinate with operators, helpers, and contract manpower.
Ensure production schedules are followed shift-wise.
Report machine breakdowns and production issues to seniors.
Manpower Management
Allocate work to operators and helpers.
Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and shift discipline.
Guide and support operators for efficient working.
Ensure proper use of manpower and reduce idle time.
Ability to manage shop-floor workers
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, production reports)
Good communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving and team-handling ability
Key Responsibilities Dispatch :
Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules as per sales orders and production readiness.
Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods to customers as per delivery commitments.
Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as:
Delivery Challan
Tax Invoice / E-Invoice / E-Way Bill
Packing List
Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement and loading schedules.
Ensure proper loading, packing, and labeling of materials to avoid damage in transit.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of dispatch & logistics operations
Familiarity with GST, E-Way Bill, and basic documentation
Good coordination and communication skills
Basic computer knowledge (ERP / Excel / Email)
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Maintain dispatch registers, vehicle movement records, and daily dispatch reports.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Sales teams for dispatch priorities.
Track dispatched materials and follow up for Proof of Delivery (POD).
Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and company policies during dispatch operations.
Handle customer or transporter-related dispatch issues and report deviations.
Support stock reconciliation and audits related to dispatch activities.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Textile Engineering or relevant field
(Freshers or 1-3 years of experience preferred)
