Job Description

Core responsibilities:

Operational oversight:

Manage the day-to-day production workflow to meet output targets, deadlines, and cost objectives.

Production planning and scheduling:

Assist in developing and implementing production schedules, adjusting as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.

Team management:

Supervise, train, and motivate production staff. This includes managing work allocation, resolving conflicts, and conducting performance reviews.

Quality control:

Implement and monitor quality control programs to ensure products meet company and industry standards. This also involves implementing corrective actions for any production issues.

Inventory and procurement:

Coordinate with other departments to manage raw material inventory, equipment, and supplies to prevent shortages or delays.

Process improvement:

Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and implement "lean manufacturing" or other process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular reports to the Production Manager on production status, performance metrics, and budgets.
