White Soul Foods Pvt. Ltd. is an emerging food manufacturing startup based in Ahmedabad, in collaboration with a renowned culinary expert, with aims to specializes in the development and production of Ready-to-Eat (RTE) and Ready-to-Cook (RTC) gravies, sauces, pastes, etc.
Our upcoming state of the art manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad is equipped with advanced imported processing machinery to ensure consistent quality, hygiene, and scalability.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Production cum Plant Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process. From purchase of raw material to finished product dispatch. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food processing (preferably in gravies, sauces, or similar wet products), process optimization, team management, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Plan, schedule, and supervise day-to-day production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and material.
Oversee batching, cooking, filling, and packaging operations for RTE/RTC gravies and sauces.
Quality & Food Safety
Implement and maintain FSSAI, BRCGS and Etc. standards.
Monitor CCPs and ensure all hygiene and sanitation protocols are followed.
Collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve deviations or non-conformities.
Plant Operations
Supervise maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Maintain daily and monthly production records and performance reports.
Process and Product Development
Work closely with the culinary expert's R&D team for product trials and scale-up.
Suggest improvements for process efficiency, yield, and consistency.
Plant Administration & Coordination
Supervise overall plant infrastructure and utilities and preventive make maintenance schedules.
Liaise with government authorities and auditors for licenses, inspections, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate with purchase, logistics, and accounts departments for smooth plant operations.
People & Team Management
Lead and motivate production and technical teams.
Conduct regular training on safety, hygiene, and equipment handling.
Manage shift rosters and ensure discipline and attendance compliance.
Cost & Inventory Control
Monitor raw material consumption, wastage, and yield efficiency.
Work on cost optimization without compromising product quality.
Maintain adequate inventory of raw materials, packaging, and spares.
Team Leadership
Train and guide production staff to maintain discipline, safety, and performance.
Develop shift schedules and allocate responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Processing or similar.
Experience: atleast 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant at a senior level (preferably in gravies, sauces, or similar wet processing).
Skills Required:
Strong understanding of thermal processing, retort systems, and food safety protocols.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and production reporting.
