The Process Planning Coordinator will ensure smooth coordination between different production stages of jewellery manufacturing (design, casting, setting, polishing, finishing, QC, dispatch). The role involves monitoring workflows, aligning resources, and assisting in production scheduling to achieve timely delivery and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Coordination
Act as a bridge between design, production, QC, and dispatch teams.
Ensure proper documentation and handover of job orders between departments.
Track work-in-progress (WIP) at each stage and escalate delays.
Scheduling & Monitoring
Support the Production Planning Manager in preparing daily and weekly production schedules.
Monitor order flow to ensure timely completion.
Highlight bottlenecks or delays to management for quick resolution.
Resource & Material Support
Verify availability of raw materials, components, and consumables before production begins.
Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure smooth material flow.
Maintain daily material issue/return records.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of production movement across departments.
Prepare daily/weekly MIS on production status and job progress.
Track rework, wastage, and delays for reporting to management.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure processes are followed as per SOPs.
Coordinate with QC team for approvals before moving jobs to next stage.
Ensure compliance with company standards and timelines.
Team Support
Provide administrative and operational support to the production planning team.
Coordinate with supervisors, artisans, and staff to resolve day-to-day issues.
Assist in training sessions for process improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Good knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, setting, polishing, finishing).
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of ERP/Gati/Ornate or jewellery management systems.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Problem-solving and quick decision-making mindset.
