Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated
Production Coordinator
to oversee our medical device manufacturing and injection molding operations. This hands-on role is ideal for driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Scheduling
: Develop and monitor detailed production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of orders, meet output targets, and maximize machine utilization. Analyze production data to forecast needs and adjust plans dynamically for efficiency.
Team Supervision and Safety
: Supervise a team of injection molding operators, providing guidance on daily tasks. Ensure all equipment operates safely, enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), health & safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews.
Cross-Functional Coordination
: Collaborate closely with maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime, optimize inventory levels, and swiftly resolve production bottlenecks. Track key metrics like yield rates, scrap reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness.
Process Improvement
: Identify opportunities for lean manufacturing enhancements, such as reducing cycle times or implementing automation. Participate in root cause analysis for issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen events.
Reporting and Compliance
: Maintain accurate production records, generate daily/weekly reports and ensure adherence to ISO 13485 standards and other regulatory requirements specific to medical devices.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in production planning tools and MS Office (Excel for data analysis).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in shifts and handle high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of injection molding processes, safety protocols, and quality systems is a plus.
