Job Description

Job Summary:

The Production Controller is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the manufacturing process to ensure timely production and delivery of products. The role ensures optimal utilization of resources--materials, machinery, and manpower--while maintaining quality and minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and update

daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules

based on demand forecasts and capacity.

Coordinate with departments

such as procurement, maintenance, and quality to ensure smooth production flow.

Monitor production progress

and identify any deviations or bottlenecks, taking corrective actions promptly.

Optimize machine and manpower utilization

to achieve efficiency targets. Maintain accurate records of

production data, material consumption, and downtime.

Ensure

availability of raw materials and components

for uninterrupted production.

Analyze production performance

using KPIs like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and productivity ratios. Implement

lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support

inventory management

by monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods levels. Prepare

daily/weekly reports

on production output, delays, and resource utilization.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of

manufacturing processes and production planning.

Proficiency in

ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Excellent

analytical and problem-solving

abilities. Ability to handle

multiple priorities and deadlines.

Effective

communication and coordination

skills. Knowledge of

Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

principles (preferred).

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering MBA in Operations Management (preferred for senior roles)

Experience Required:

5 years of experience in

production planning and control

within a manufacturing setup (e.g., automotive, plastic moulding, FMCG, or engineering industries).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
