Responsible for executing and monitoring all production activities in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) plant as per approved batch manufacturing records (BMR).
Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and environmental guidelines throughout the production process.
Supervise and operate reactors, centrifuges, dryers, and other process equipment.
Perform in-process checks and ensure that all process parameters are maintained within specified limits.
Maintain detailed documentation of daily production activities and process deviations.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams for sampling, testing, and batch release.
Assist in scale-up, technology transfer, and process optimization for new or existing products.
Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with the stores department for material availability.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of process instruments and production equipment.
Implement process safety measures and participate in periodic safety drills and audits.
Identify areas of process improvement and assist in implementing cost-saving measures.
Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards in production areas.
Train and guide junior operators and production assistants on standard operating procedures.
Investigate and report any deviations, incidents, or non-conformities promptly.
Support validation and qualification activities for new equipment or processes.
Ensure strict compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in internal and external audits and support documentation reviews.
Work closely with the R&D and Engineering teams for process troubleshooting.
Follow safety data sheets (SDS) and handle chemicals in accordance with hazard classifications.
Maintain accurate records for yield, productivity, and process efficiency.
Ensure timely completion of batches and adherence to production schedules.
Report production performance metrics to supervisors and management.
Support implementation of new technologies and automation initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement programs within the production department.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Manager to support efficient API manufacturing operations.
