We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented R&D; Chemists (Male candidates) to join our innovation-driven
team. The role involves research, design, and development of chemistry-based rapid testing kits for
environmental monitoring and other emerging application areas such as water, soil, food, veterinary, and medical
diagnostics. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing robust R&D; frameworks, performing
hands-on experimentation, documenting results, and contributing to technical publications.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Innovation
Develop new chemistry-based rapid testing kits aligned with market needs (e.g., water quality kits, soil health
kits, pesticide residue detection, food adulteration and fortification tests, veterinary and medical rapid tests).
Enhance existing products, including field water and soil testing kits and digital multi-parameter water quality
analyzers, through iterative improvement.
Perform prototype formulation, optimization, and validation using industry standards and regulatory guidelines
(BIS, APHA, ISO, NABL).
Conduct stability studies, sensitivity/specificity testing, and field trials to ensure product performance and
reliability.
Process & Documentation
Establish a structured R&D; workflow including experiment design (DoE), data recording, and statistical validation of results.
Maintain accurate documentation in lab notebooks, SOPs, and validation reports for regulatory compliance and future reference.
Prepare technical dossiers, product manuals, and scientific papers for publication and internal use.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Work closely with electronics, instrumentation, and manufacturing teams to integrate chemistry with device
design.
Collaborate with external research labs, universities, and industry partners for joint development projects.
Provide technical training to production, QA, and field teams during product handover.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed and chemical waste is handled per statutory requirements.
Work towards ISO/NABL/GLP compliance in R&D; operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or related discipline.
Experience: 1-4 years of relevant R&D; experience in chemical analysis, formulation, or rapid test kit
development.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of wet chemistry, titration, and colorimetric analysis methods.
Familiarity with spectrophotometry, chromatography, and sample preparation techniques.
Experience in method validation, calibration curve preparation, and statistical data analysis.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Innovative mindset with a passion for applied research.
Performance Metrics
Timely delivery of prototypes and validated formulations.
Number and quality of new products developed and launched.
