The Production Associate Level II is responsible for operating machines and production equipment in alignment with safety, quality, and productivity standards in a manufacturing environment. The role requires moderate guidance and involves tasks related to assembly, testing, and up fit of gensets, while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
Stop work and immediately report any injury hazards.
Comply with HSE policies, standards, and regulations.
Use personal protective equipment appropriately.
Engage in HSE training and promote safety awareness.
Recognize and minimize environmental impacts from work.
Identify, report, and help correct hazards within scope.
Quality:
Follow standard work, SPC (Statistical Process Control), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
Conduct quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
Raise quality issues to mitigate cost and production impact.
Demonstrate knowledge of basic quality tools such as 7 QC tools and 7 problem-solving steps.
Delivery & Operations:
Operate manual and automated equipment for manufacturing and assembly.
Meet production goals and cycle times/engineering standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace through daily housekeeping and operator care.
Perform planned equipment maintenance and report issues.
Display flexibility by supporting various tasks and shifts as needed.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional staff.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to process, safety, and quality improvements actively.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma, secondary school completion certificate, or equivalent.
Additional vocational or technical training in manufacturing or mechanical fields is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications:
May require export control or compliance-related licensing, depending on work location and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.
Intermediate skills in:
Mechanical assembly (especially genset and engine components).
Electrical/electronic components in genset applications.
Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
Knowledge of:
Basic quality tools (7 QC tools, 7-step problem-solving).
Safety practices and Cummins HSE standards.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be willing and able to work across all three shifts as per operational needs.
Work Conditions:
Fast-paced manufacturing floor.
Physical work including standing, lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
Shift-based work including evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
