DESCRIPTION
Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with direct guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

• Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
• Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
• Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.
• Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.
• Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact.
• Engage in HSE Training.

Quality:

• Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
• Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
• Perform quality inspections.
• Identify and control non-conforming material.

Delivery:

• Operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.
• Achieve production goals.
• Work at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks.
• Perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
• Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
• Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.

Teamwork:

• Communicate effectively with the assigned team and all support teams.
• Complete training and personal development in line with business requirements.
• Participate actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Operate machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with direct guidance.
• Work on a weekly shift rotational basis:
• Shift A: 6:00am to 2:00pm
• Shift B: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
• Shift C: 10:00pm to 6:00am

Experience:

• Minimal or no work experience required.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
• Welding process certified education is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
