Production Leadership and Area Management Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations within assigned area, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Plan, assign and coordinate production tasks, workflows and resources to achieve operational targets. Monitor, analyse and act upon production KPIs, while driving continuous improvement. Lead, coach and develop production team members, maintaining motivation and high performance. Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and safety practices throughout the area. Coordinate with cross-functional teams in quality, maintenance, engineering and logistics for seamless operations. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and environmental regulations. Document and report production data, incidents, and improvement activities as required.

Skills and Competencies in Production Area Leadership

Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement methodologies. Safety-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and process improvement. IT literacy; experience in production management systems (SAP, MES, or similar) is an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience for Production Area Leader Roles

Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with proven leadership responsibilities. Experience leading diverse teams is highly valued. Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
