Key responsibilities

Process Development & Optimization:

Design, scale-up, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.

Quality Assurance & Control:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and systems. Conduct quality checks, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all production processes and products comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and those from bodies such as the FDA and EMA.

Troubleshooting & Corrective Actions:

Investigate production and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all processes, deviations, changes, and results for regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other professionals, including production staff, pharmacists, chemists, and quality assurance teams, to ensure safe and effective product development and manufacturing.

Data Analysis:

Analyze production data to identify trends, variability, and opportunities for improvement. Use tools like Lean or Six Sigma to eliminate waste and enhance output.

Equipment & Technology:

Assist in the selection and integration of new equipment and technologies to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
Required skills and qualifications

Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Expertise in quality management systems and GMP compliance. Experience with commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) processes. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of regulatory environments.
