We are a manufacturer of sheet metal fabrications and machined components. The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System to ensure products meet customer, statutory, and internal requirements. The role involves overseeing incoming, in-process, and final inspections, handling customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
Implement, maintain, and continuously improve ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Prepare and control quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and records
Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits (customer, third-party, ISO)
Ensure compliance with customer-specific and statutory requirements
Production & Process Quality
Define and monitor quality standards for sheet metal, machining, welding, and finishing processes
Ensure effective incoming, in-process, and final inspection systems
Approve control plans, inspection plans, and quality checkpoints
Monitor process capability and take corrective actions where required
Customer & Supplier Quality
Handle customer complaints, rejections, and SCARs with proper root cause analysis and CAPA
Coordinate with customers for inspections, PPAPs, and quality approvals
Coordinate third-party inspections when required
Team & Documentation
Lead and mentor Quality Engineers and Inspectors
Plan training on quality tools, inspection methods, and standards
Maintain calibration of measuring instruments
Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and record retention
Continuous Improvement
Drive improvement initiatives using tools like 7QC tools, 5 Why, etc.
Reduce rejections, rework, and customer complaints
Support production and engineering teams for process improvements
