We are seeking a proactive Production and Quality Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team at AMTEQ Solutions. This role will be instrumental in achieving production targets within specified time frames while maintaining high-quality standards.
The Production and Quality Engineer will be responsible for achieving production targets in given time frame. This role will work closely with Engineering team, Business team and vendors to overcome design challenges and meet the production goals. Engineers must also be able to meet the quality requirements set forth for each part, able to perform quality checks or engage third party in checking material and quality of the finished products. This role will also be to communicate and provide feedback to the internal teams about product design and manufacturing changes that might improve quality and production rate. Must have strong production background and quality background.
Description / Requirements
Drive production by effectively communicating and resolving bottlenecks related to material supply or vendor delays.
Visit and evaluate suppliers and fabricators to establish relations, improve quality and maximize production.
Develop manufacturing time estimates based on material and fabrication deliveries.
Develop sources for and collaborate with vendors to develop specifications for tooling, equipment, parts, or materials.
Provide engineering support to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems related to manufacturing of parts or assemblies.
Maintains effective communications with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Testing and Engineering.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Interacts with lead engineers, vendors, and customers to solve product problems or to develop new designs based on customer or market requirement.
Documents and maintains design database and catalogs for various products and sizes.
Well versed with 3D Modeling and 2D drawing software's like Inventor/Solidworks/Pro-E
Ability to understand develop in-process drawings.
Good experience with machining drawings, GD&T
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-7 years of experience in product quality and production management roles
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills; must be able to read, write and speak English language.
Ability to formulate decisions, makes and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties, and handle multiple tasks in pressure situations.
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationship with all levels of management, staff and customers.
Excellent work ethic and self-starter; punctuality, accuracy, and good attendance a must
Self-starter mentality, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
A natural problem solver.
