Job Description

The Institute of Art & Design, Kollam, Kerala, is seeking a passionate and skilled Product Design & Visualiser Faculty member to join our academic team. The role involves teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in product design, 3D visualisation, design thinking, and hands-on prototyping.

Key Responsibilities

Teach courses in Product Design, Industrial Design, 3D Modelling, CAD, Rendering & Visualisation.
Conduct studio sessions, workshops, and practical training.
Mentor students on design projects, research, concept development and portfolio building.
Support curriculum development for emerging design programs combining Art, Design, Engineering & Technology.
Evaluate assignments and guide students throughout their academic journey.

Skills & Expertise

Proficiency in SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Rhino / Blender / Autodesk Alias / KeyShotor similar tools.
Solid understanding of design processes, ergonomics, materials & manufacturing.
Excellent sketching, ideation, rendering, and visual storytelling skills.
Ability to inspire and mentor design students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related fields*.

Teaching or industry experience preferred.
Strong design portfolio required.
