Job Description

Product Taxonomy Business Analyst will serve as business analyst to develop the Enterprise Product Taxonomy as a single source of product classification for the firm and will work with all business lines in the adoption of the Enterprise Product Taxonomy. This role will report to the Product Taxonomy Transformation Lead in New Activity Risk Management.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate adoption of Enterprise level Product Taxonomy across multiple lines of businesses
• Engage with key stakeholders from all business lines (MSS, TTS, CCB, CPB, BCMA, GCB and Treasury) and Functions (Risk Finance, CDO, Operations) on a regular basis to roll out Product Taxonomy
• Take the lead in developing strategy for end-to-end implementation for one or more sets of programs.
• Take the lead in tailoring functional solutions for local use which are anchored to the Enterprise Product Taxonomy
• Assist in Proof of Concept exercises to pressure test design of product taxonomy as needed
• Assist in the requirements and testing of Enterprise Product Taxonomy enhancements; Identify taxonomy services needed by downstream systems
• Assist in business analysis and project management activities
• Maintenance of project plans to track the status of the product taxonomy initiative
• Work closely with business partners and technology teams in addressing and remediating integration challenges.
• Assist in gap analysis, impact analysis, root cause analysis and provide solutions for remediation
• Perform end to end activities with minimal supervision
• Look for ways to simplify and constantly improve process

Qualifications:

• Seeking candidate with 8 -10 years experience in the financial industry
• Familiarity with software SDLC using Agile or waterfall methodologies
• Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, user acceptance testing and authoring of business-critical documents like requirements documentation.
• Experience in Finance or Risk related functions preferred.
• Experienced in business analysis activities including impact analysis or root cause analysis.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to master process flows, data flows and data dependencies across systems
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills and able to devise solutions to critical issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to work through details while keeping big picture in mind.
• Proficiency in creating polished Powerpoint presentations and in minuting meetings
• Proficiency with Excel or digital tools for analysis of data and drill downs is a plus.
• Experience in documenting test cases/test scripts
• Experience in systems design and development is a plus.
• Working with large user community to lead UAT efforts is desired
• Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities.
• Ability to monitor and mitigate risks in time and flexibility to adapt to change

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred with an analytical focus (e.g. finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science)
