Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.
It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.
Position Description:

  • Responsible for driving connections across regions within their respective franchises such as but not limited to issues/investigations management, global INV/CAPA harmonization (execution to be done regionally), improvement projects related to product quality (e.g., medical safety signals, MS&T, PPVR, PPQS), NPI specifically as it pertains to where Lead/Adapt markets are in different regions, proactive initiatives (e.g., ingredient transparency, sustainability), CxE initiatives and A&D work (either in regional or across region).
  • Work will be driven primarily with the franchise they report into but will support other franchise activities to be leveraged as needed (e.g. cross trained).
  • Provide technical quality leadership regarding investigations, LCM, product/process changes, and regulations.
  • Manage relationships externally and internally by influencing and persuading teams to bring about process, regulatory compliance, and technical improvements. Builds cross-functional and cross-departmental support. Address global product quality issues like escalations and follow on CAPAs that are multi-region in nature. Proactively review the product performance from an E2E perspective. Look at stability data, ADPRs, complaints, escalations, etc. and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide support within region to proactively scan the industry, franchise innovation pipeline portfolios, etc. to identify and implement the New, Unique, and Different (NUD) capabilities that are needed in Q&C to support the future product innovation pipeline (e.g., needs for sustainability, new regulations, Smart apps, etc.).
  • Represent QA on Global/Regional Commercial and R&D teams in providing quality strategy for New Product Introductions, Innovation, continuous improvement of established products, acquisitions and exit strategies for divestitures. Will deliver to meet end-to-end product Quality Strategy to support Lifecycle Management, Growth innovation, and value creation.
  • Lead global and regional QA teams on Acquisition and Divestiture activities and represent one E2E quality voice to the business for global products by connecting specifically with Regional Franchise Quality associates as well as other members of the global and regional Q&C organization.
  • Responsible for cross-regional communication for global issue management, projects, and innovation. Provide Quality Leadership for Due Diligence and Historical Product Assessments for Licensing & Acquisition and Product Licensing Initiatives.
  • Lead Quality sub-team as required for complex Global projects and Medical Safety initiatives.
  • Lead and participate with global and regional teams in conducting gap assessments to ensure policies and procedures meet appropriate internal and external Standards to maintain compliance with the evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in Science or engineering-related discipline
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Q&C Pharmaceutical, / Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), medical device or relevant experience
  • Experience leading complex global projects. Global Business Mindset, Understanding of Commercial Processes and having strong business acumen
  • Experience with investigation, CAPA, Field Actions in a regulated industry.
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing and packaging processes and equipment for product development and commercial distribution
  • Demonstration of strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills
  • Experience in leading global/regional cross-functional teams

Preferred Requirements/Competencies:
  • Understanding of regional and global regulatory requirements for Cosmetics/OTC/Medical Devices as per the franchise needs
  • Knowledge of statistical tools/methodology, analytical and/or microbiological techniques and drug processing preferred
  • Understanding of digital and data analytics
  • Laboratory experience
