The Product Owner plays a critical role in driving product development and delivery within Agile teams. This position is responsible for translating business strategy and customer needs into actionable product requirements, managing the product backlog, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
As the primary liaison between business units and development teams, the Product Owner ensures the right product is built at the right time to deliver maximum value.
Key Responsibilities

Define and communicate product vision and strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Own and manage the product backlog across multiple Agile teams, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and synthesize customer insights, market trends, and business needs.
Write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Draft technical documentation, including
internal and customer-facing API docs
.
Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Monitor product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product delivery.
Make data-driven decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic goals.
Qualifications

Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in product ownership or related roles.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven leadership experience in cross-functional Agile team environments.
Technical fluency and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management.
Proficiency with tools such as
Jira, Confluence, and Agile platforms
.
Demonstrated ability to understand and advocate for customer needs through direct engagement and data analysis.
