Product Owner (Education ERP)

Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner specialized in Education ERP solutions to lead product vision, roadmap planning, and execution. The ideal candidate should have strong domain knowledge in the education sector, hands-on experience with ERP-based products, and the ability to translate institutional requirements into scalable product features. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the product roadmap for the Education ERP platform. Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from educational institutions and internal stakeholders. Translate business and academic workflows into clear product requirements and user stories. Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business goals and timelines. Work closely with development, QA, and design teams to ensure successful feature delivery. Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related decisions and clarifications. Ensure the ERP solution aligns with education-specific processes such as admissions, academics, examinations, fees, student lifecycle, and reporting. Monitor product performance, user feedback, and usage metrics to drive continuous improvement. Coordinate with support and implementation teams to address product gaps and enhancements. Communicate product vision, progress, and risks to management and stakeholders.

Requirement

Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Owner / Product Management roles. Strong hands-on experience with Education ERP products or education-focused SaaS platforms. In-depth understanding of education domain workflows (schools, colleges, universities, training institutes). Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments as a Product Owner. Strong ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation. Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Design, Support). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to make data-driven product decisions and prioritize effectively. Experience with product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Preferred / Added Advantage
Experience working on multi-tenant ERP or SaaS products. Exposure to LMS, CRM, admissions, examination, or student management systems. Understanding of integrations with payment gateways, communication tools, and third-party platforms. Prior experience interacting with educational institutions or academic administrators. Basic understanding of technical architecture and APIs.
