Job Title: Product Manager - Power Lines (LD Department)

Department: Lighting Division (LD) / Power Products

Location: Benagluru

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Product Manager - Power Lines

to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of product activities within the

Lighting Division (LD)

. The role involves managing the complete product lifecycle -- from concept and design to market introduction and post-launch support -- for

power supply units, LED drivers, and related power electronics solutions

.

The Product Manager will work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure the success of the Power Line product portfolio in alignment with business objectives and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

Develop and execute product strategies for

Power Lines / LED Drivers / Power Modules

under the LD division. Define product positioning, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plans. Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in power electronics to identify new opportunities.

2. Product Lifecycle Management

Own the product lifecycle -- from concept, design, validation, and production to phase-out. Collaborate with R&D to define product specifications, design goals, and feature sets. Manage BOM (Bill of Materials), cost optimization, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., BIS, CE, RoHS).

3. Cross-functional Collaboration

Coordinate with

Sales & Marketing

to support customer engagements and technical presentations. Work closely with

Procurement & Supply Chain

for vendor development and component sourcing. Partner with

Quality & Manufacturing

to ensure product reliability, performance, and yield targets are met.

4. Customer & Market Engagement

Gather customer feedback, field issues, and application requirements to refine existing products. Support key customer accounts by providing technical insights and addressing product-related concerns. Conduct competitive benchmarking and maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics in power electronics and LED driver segments.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain technical and commercial documentation for all product lines. Generate regular reports on product performance, sales, margins, and forecasts for management review. Prepare training materials for internal teams and external partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical

/ Electronic Engineering

or a related discipline.

Experience:

2-3 years of experience in

Product Management / R&D / Application Engineering

in

Power Electronics, LED Drivers, or Lighting Systems

. Strong understanding of

power supply design (AC-DC, DC-DC), LED drivers, SMPS, or related technologies

.

Technical Knowledge:

Hands-on familiarity with circuit design, thermal management, EMI/EMC standards, and reliability testing. Working knowledge of component selection, design validation, and certification processes.

Business & Communication Skills:

Proven ability to translate technical features into business value. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and business reporting.

Preferred (Good to Have):

Experience with

IoT-enabled lighting systems

,

smart power management

, or

automotive power modules

. Exposure to

ERP systems (SAP / Oracle)

and

PLM tools

. Knowledge of

global lighting standards

and

energy efficiency regulations

.
