This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, public sector financial regulations, and software product development. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, customer success, and government stakeholders to deliver a high-value product that simplifies payroll management for local and regional governments.ResponsibilitiesOwn the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Payroll offeringEnsure the payroll solution meets all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., tax reporting, pension contributions, labor laws) for the government sector.Conduct market research and engage with customers to identify needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and customer success to deliver high-quality product features.Prioritize features and create detailed product requirements documentsAnalyze product performance metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvementStay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and public sector payroll regulationsParticipate in customer-facing activities, including demos, discovery sessions, and industry eventsContribute to the overall product strategy of the OpenGov Financials suiteQualifications5+ years of product management experience, ideally with Enterprise SaaS solutions.Deep understanding of payroll systems, public sector financial management, tax regulations, and reporting requirements for government entities.
