Stage: Early-Stage NBFC targeting ?100 Cr AUM scale-up

About the Role : We are looking for a high-ownership Product Manager to build, launch, and scale lending products for an early-stage NBFC. The role includes building systems, processes, workflows, underwriting rules, alliances infrastructure, and tech-product governance needed to scale to ?100 Cr AUM through supply chain finance and unsecured lending partnerships. This is a builder role for someone who enjoys working from 0 to 1 to scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

u Define product vision for SCF and unsecured lending lines.

u Create product road map and set priorities for IT build across system

u Build AUM scale roadmap from 0 to ?100 Cr leveraging alliances & digital journeys.

u Conduct market, credit, and customer research to identify product gaps.

u Design modular product architecture for plug-and-play partner integrations.

u Test journeys and roll out the systems to teams as per the decided timelines

2. Build Systems & Processes

u Create end-to-end lending workflows: onboarding, KYCs, underwriting, disbursement, repayment, reporting.

u Work with engineering partners to build LOS/LMS, partner APIs, and automation layers.

u Set SOPs for operations, risk, compliance, and product governance.

u Create rule book and deviation matrix for smooth lending operations

3. Alliance & Partner Management

u Structure credit programs with fintech partners, DSAs, OEMs, anchor companies.

u Define API specs, data flows, risk-sharing structures and SLAs.

u Build dashboards for partner performance, portfolio quality, and collections.

4. Credit & Risk Productization

u Convert credit policies into rule-based underwriting engines and exception rules .

u Define scorecards, limits, exposure rules, bureau triggers, monitoring alerts

u Automate documentation, e-sign, and verification processes.

5. Scale & Portfolio Performance

u Monitor product metrics (AUM, conversion, NPA, TAT, CAC).

u Optimize acquisition funnels and portfolio performance with data insights.

u Drive digitization and automation to reduce cost per loan and improve TAT.

6. Compliance & Regulatory Coordination

u Ensure all product workflows comply with RBI NBFC regulations.

u Coordinate with legal and compliance on policies, audit readiness, and reporting.

Candidate Requirements

5-10 years of product experience in NBFC, FinTech,(Unsecured Lending, SCF, SME Credit, Alternate Secured Products)

Strong understanding of credit policy, underwriting models, and risk frameworks.

Hands-on experience building LOS/LMS, digital journeys, partner integrations, and credit workflows within NBFC ecosystem.

Experience in Supply Chain Finance and Unsecured Lending (preferred).

Ability to work with tech, credit, operations, and alliances teams.

Secured Lending experience is an added advantage

Comfortable in early-stage, fast-paced environments with high ownership.

Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
