Lead - Product Management

B. Job Objective

Perform market research to identify customer needs, pain points and market gaps. Collaborate with the engineering to deliver functional solutions. Suggest products/features to improve user experience. Manage quality assurance controls on products. Prioritize features and initiatives. Drive implementation of new features and set specific timelines. Responsible for driving the development and execution of our SaaS product strategy, from concept to launch.

C. Primary responsibilities

Strategic and planning

Functional

Core:

Gathers data to come up with ideas for new products and features including curating ideas and deciding which ones are worth working on. Analysis market and competition data to create products to match and surpass current industry standards. Defines the product vision, product roadmap, and product positioning. Creates, maintains, and adjusts the product-line-level strategy and production schedules. Communicates product vision to the sales and product marketing teams to obtain market share for the product. Creates product requirements for the engineering and support teams to bring new products to market or to enhance existing features. Balances the needs of the customers and limitations defined by stakeholders. Gathers customer feedback to further improve the product. Coordinates with respective teams regarding product launch. Tracks product performance. Oversees product throughout the product lifecycle.

Must be able to mentor and motivate junior team members.

D. Key Result Areas

Compulsory

A track record in product management, demonstrating that you have created and launched into the market. Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems. Strong experience working in Agile software delivery environment. Strong project management and time management skills Interpersonal skills with keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization. Good written skills and an eye for detail Strong experience in working with business and translate the business requirements to functional specifications. Strong experience in working closely with Engineering team. Extensive experience in creating technical specification along with technical writer.

Preferred

Pharma domain experience Hardware Product experience Understanding of SaaS business models and market trends Experience in maturing SaaS products from conception to production Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS start-up environment.
