RETAIL SCAN - Product Manager (Tech)



Job Summary:

The Tech Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of all Tech Product including web application, reporting application, Mobile application etc. This position requires strong leadership skills, Technical Skills, strategic planning, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and executives.

Product Strategy and Vision



Define and communicate the product vision and strategy.

Align the product roadmap with company goals and market demands.

Conduct market research/surveys to understand end-user requirements.

Roadmap Planning



Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining the product's development trajectory.

Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on stakeholder feedback and strategic goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in on the roadmap.

Cross-Functional Leadership



Work closely with tech, design, operations, business development, and field teams.

Facilitate communication and coordination among different departments.

Ensure all teams are working towards common objectives and timelines.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement



Gather and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and end-users.

Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights.

Act as the voice of the customer within the organization.

Product Development



Define product requirements and create detailed product specifications.

Manage the product backlog and prioritize tasks for the development team.

Ensure timely delivery of features and product releases.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting



Track and analyze product performance using key metrics and KPIs.

Generate reports and present product performance to stakeholders.

Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Market and Competitor Analysis



Stay updated on market trends and competitor products.

Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

Adjust the product strategy based on market dynamics.

User Experience (UX)



Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly product interfaces.

Ensure the product provides a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Continuously improve the user experience based on feedback and testing.

Compliance and Security



Ensure the product complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Address security concerns and implement necessary safeguards.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance and security requirements.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement



Foster a culture of innovation within the product team.

Encourage the development of new ideas and approaches to improve the product.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and incorporate them into the product strategy.

Project Management



Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for IT programs and projects.

Collect requirements from various business teams, create flowcharts, Business Requirement Documents, technical documents, and development plans.

Create Epics, Stories, and tasks on Jira and monitor the progress of development.

Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and to the desired level of quality.

Manage and coordinate the activities of tech teams, including IT support staff, contractors, and vendors.

Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, and team members.

Provide regular project status reports and updates to senior management.

Ensure project requirements are clearly defined and documented, and that project deliverables meet these requirements.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT projects based on business needs.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.

Facilitate project meetings, including status updates, team meetings, and steering committee meetings.

Demo the product to internal users and clients.

Plan and organize scrum meetings, facilitate sprint planning and review meetings, sprint retrospective meetings, sprint backlog, story estimation, daily stand-ups, and iteration and release planning and reviews.

Qualifications:



4-6 years of experience managing IT programs and projects, including experience managing complex projects.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate project teams.

Experience working with JIRA.

Knowledge of Figma and Confluence.

B.E. Preferred

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks and issues.

Project management certification such as PMP or Scrum Master is preferred.

Knowledge of best practices in writing SQL queries and fetching data from MS-SQL databases is required.

Knowledge of programming languages like Python and Django is an added advantage.

Experience with Agile methodologies of development is preferred.

Experience in managing mid- to large-scale tech products with mid-size tech teams and vendor management is preferred.

Candidate Profile:



Young and energetic, between 28-36 years of age.

The role provides immense on-the-job learning opportunities for the selected candidate, allowing them to develop communication, negotiation, and interaction skills with the CTO, Tech Lead, Head of Product Development, IT vendors, and other senior stakeholders. Hence, a willingness to learn and apply is a key requirement.

Pleasant personality, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations.

Ability to prioritize tasks based on inputs from the Tech Lead and Head of Product Development.
